Volyn region

Located in the north-west of the country. In the north it borders on Belarus, Brest region, in the east - on the Rivne region, in the south - on the Lviv region, and in the west it borders on Poland.

In the administrative-territorial relation Volyn region is divided into 4 cities of regional, 7 - of district subordination, 21 urban villages, 16 rural districts and 1050 villages. The regional center - the city of Lutsk.

The main branches of specialization Volyn region are: agriculture, industry (especially food) and transport. The key branch Volyn's economy is the area of agro-industrial sector.

In Volhynia territory of priority development (TPA) functions successfully, the main economic activities are: mining, food and processing industry, textile and light industry, wood processing and manufacturing of wood products, chemical industry, mechanical engineering, electricity, gas and water , construction, communications.
