Poltava region

Almost the whole territory of the region is located in the east of the country in the central part of the left-bank Ukraine. Only a small part of land of Kremenchug is outside Dnipro on the right bank. Its length from north to south is 213.5 km, and from the south-west to north-east is 259 km. It borders in the north on Chernigov and Sumy regions,in the north-west on Kiev, in the west on Cherkassy, in the south-west on Kirovograd, in the south on Dnepropetrovsk and in the east on Kharkov region.

The region consists of 25 administrative districts, 15 towns, including 5 of regional subordination (Poltava, Kremenchug, Komsomolsk, Mirgorod, Lubni), 21 towns, 1854 villages.

The administrative center is Poltava.

Poltava region is an industrial-agrarian region of Ukraine, in which about 70% of region INP falls to the share of industry
