Lviv region

The region is located in the far west of Ukraine. It Borders in the north and north-east on Volyn and Rivne regions, in the west and south-east on Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, in the south on Zakarpattskayia region, in the west on Poland. Besides, the region borders on Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk, Volyn, Rivne and Zakarpattskayia regions of Ukraine. Administratively, Lviv region is divided into 20 districts and has 43 cities (including 7 cities of regional subordination), 34 towns, and more than 1850 villages.

The largest city of the region Lviv forms around a central urban agglomeration of the region, the basis industry orientation is machine-building. Borislav Drohobych-urban aggliomeration, which forms the core of Drogobych, Borislav, Truskavets and Stebnik specializes in recreation resource of the region.
