Kirovograd region

The region is located in the central part of Ukraine (also it is the geographic center of Ukraine), between the Dnieper and Southern Bug. It borders in the north on Cherkassy, in the north-east on Poltava, in the east and south-east on Dnepropetrovsk, in the south on Nikolaev, in the south-west on Odessa, in the west on the Vinnitsa region of Ukraine.

Administrative and territorial division:
There are 21 administrative districts, 12 cities, including 4 - of regional subordination (Kirovograd, Alexandria, Svitlovodsk, Znamenka), 26 towns and 1024 villages.

The administrative center is Kirovograd.
