Khmelnytsk region

The region is located in the western part of Ukraine. In the east it borders on Vinnytskaya in the north-east on Zhitomir, in the north-west on Rovne, in the west on Ternopil and in the south on Chernovtsi.

In respect of the administrative-territorial devision the region is divided into 20 administrative districts, 13 cities, 5 cities of regional subordination (Khmelnitsky, Kamenetz-Podolsky, Shepetivka, Slavuta, Netishin), 24 towns and 1417 villages. The region area is 20.6 sq. km. (3.4% of the total territory of Ukraine).
