Ivano-Frankivsk region

The region is located in the west of Ukraine and it is a member of the historical - geographical area "Galicia". it borders in the north-west on Lvov region in the north-east on Ternopol, in the south-east on Chernovtsy, in the south on Romania and in the south-west on the Zakarpattskayia region.

The region consists of 14 districts (Bogorodchansky, Verhovinsky, Галицький, Gorodenkivsky, Dolinsky, Kalusky, Kolomyysky, Kosivsky, Nadvirnyansky, Rogatinsky, Rozhnyativsky, Snyatinsky, Tismenitsky, Tlumatsky.), 15 cities, including the 5 cities of regional subordination (Ivano - Frankivsk, Kalush, Kolomyia, Yaremcha, Bolekhiv), 24 towns and 765 villages

The region has a large number of monuments of history, archaeology, town-planning, monumental art of region.
