Dnipropetrovsk

(Dnipropetrovsk or simply Dnepr, as the locals call it) is located in the middle current of the Dnipro river in central Ukraine. The population of 1,040 million. (April 2007). Center agglomeration Dnepropetrovsk (Dnipropetrovsk, Dneprodzerzhinsk, Novomoskovsk, Podgorodnoe) is more than 1.3 million residents.

The largest center Prydniprovya, one of the most beautiful cities of Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the twentieth-century to the present day the city is the most important center of metallurgical industry and machine building. Since the 1950's it is the Center for Aerospace and missile. The city is mainly commercial and industrial center of eastern Ukraine.

The city is famous for houses, skyscrapers. In 1983 the first 28-storeyed residential building was built in Dnepropetrovsk in the h / e Pobeda, Heroev avenue, 1.
In 2003 it was opened «Towers» residential complex. At the time of its opening it was the highest residential building in Ukraine (123 m).

30-storeyed «Sail» hotel was being built from 1981 to 1989. But it was not completed. Building near a residential skyscraper at 45 stories provides in complex projects of reconstruction in 2006.

«Brama» complex under construction on the European Boulevard should be higher than 160 meters (about 50 floors).
